Science and Math for Girls
Why support girls in science? Girls have the potential to unlock the secrets of math, science and technology. Girls tend to be introduced to STEM concepts around the age of 11 and then start to quickly loose interest by the age of 15. Why does this occur?
Working with educators to keep the excitement of girls in the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics to name a few), and the amazing world of math is a top priority for Ridge River Learning Exchange.
Ridge River Learning Exchange offers staff development with a modern flair in regards to Science and Math for Girls.
Staff Motivation :
Achieving Your Goals
No one ever said that it would be easy to achieve our goals. As educators, we strive on our goals. Goals come in all sizes: small, medium and large. Clearly it’s not that easy to achieve all of our goals, especially when our priorities have shifted along the way.
Many goals have alluded us for so long, our instinct is to push and push until we can’t push anymore. What happens, well suddenly, just as quickly as it all started, we give up. Once we commit to giving up, achieving goals will never occur.
But what happens when you run into things like failure? What happens when things don’t really go your way?
So the question then, really isn’t about setting your goals. The question really is about achieving them.
Technology in the Distracted World
When does technology become a negative or a distraction by having too much? What happens when we start to suffer technology overload? Are we able to learn properly when we become over-stimulated? How do we know if too much technology is in front of us?
When does technology become counterproductive? Does technology have both positive and negative impacts on social interaction? This workshop will provide answers to these and many other questions related to this important topic.
Technology Team Recruitment and Development
Using a third party to recruit and build a technology team for an educational institution holds a non-biased approach to the selection process of future employees.
Building a team of specialists that will manage, support and move forward educational technology is one of the most important hiring decisions a school district or educational institution will ever make. Ridge River Learning Exchange provides expertise in the process of recruitment.
